2017: Lynnlee Mather appeared in 22 matches making six starts during her sophomore season…Averaged 1.91 kills per set with a .293 hitting percentage while adding 1.00 blocks per set…Also had 17 digs and two aces while collecting 67 kills on the year…Ranked fifth in the SAC in hitting percentage and blocks per set in 2017…Hit .300 with four kills and two blocks against WSSU…Hit .375 with four kills in one set against Newberry, adding two blocks…Had five kills and six blocks at Mars Hill, hitting .273 in two sets…Collected eight kills in nine swings against UNCP, hitting .778 while adding three blocks…Piled up 11 kills in 20 swings against Mars Hill, hitting .500 with two blocks…Had 10 kills and six blocks against Georgia College in the NCAA regional semifinals, hitting .500.

2016: Mather appeared in all 35 matches during her first year at Wingate, making 29 starts…Collected 199 kills, averaging 1.81 kills per set with a .278 hitting percentage…Led the team with 101 blocks, notching 0.92 blocks per set, good for sixth in the conference…Added 40 digs and 17 aces on the year…Hit .500 with eight kills and six blocks against Coker…Hit .583 with eight kills against Newberry…Had 10 kills with a .409 hitting percentage against Brevard, while piling up 12 kills and five blocks against defending national champion Wheeling Jesuit…Hit .300 with 11 kills and three blocks against Mars Hill…Hit .474 with 10 kills at Coker, while registering 10 kills and seven blocks against Catawba…Hit .444 with nine kills and six blocks at Carson-Newman…Hit .636 with eight kills against LMU in the SAC title match.

Why Lynnlee chose Wingate:
I chose Wingate because it really checked all my boxes. It is a lovely, friendly campus and I am able to enjoy a healthy balance between school and volleyball. Most importantly, I get to play for high-level coaches and with an incredible group of girls that all push each other to be better as individuals and as a team.
