2015: Shannen Adams started 47 games for the Bulldogs during her juniors season…Hit .210 with 26 hits including six doubles, driving in eight runs while scoring 19…Had a double and run scored on the opening day win against eighth-ranked Armstrong…Had a double, RBI and run scored at Erskine while going three-for-four with a double, RBI and two runs scored against Belmont Abbey…Had two hits, an RBI and a run scored against UNC Pembroke…Had three hits and three runs scored in the Queens doubleheader.

2014: Adams started 54 games during her sophomore year at Wingate, hitting .263 on the season…Had five doubles, 17 RBI and 29 runs scored…Had a double and two RBI in Erskine win, while driving in two and scoring a run against Pfeiffer…Had two RBI and a run scored in Tusculum win…Had four hits including a double in Queens doubleheader, driving in three and scoring two…Had three hits and two runs scored in doubleheader sweep against Lenoir-Rhyne…Drove in a pair of runs in Catawba win…Had two doubles and a run scored in SAC Tournament win against Carson-Newman…Had an RBI and run scored in SAC Tournament win against Catawba.

2013: Appeared in all 56 games during her freshman season at Wingate…Hit .255 with a triple, three doubles, 12 RBI and 23 runs scored…Ranked second on the team with 11 sacrifices…Went 4-4 in stolen bases…Scored a pair of runs in collegiate debut against Chowan…Went three-for-three with an RBI and two runs scored against Coker…Had four hits, three RBI and a run scored in Brevard doubleheader…Went three-for-four with an RBI in NCAA Tournament win against Mount Olive. 

High School: Two-time All-County, All-Conference, All-District and All-State at D.H. Conley High School...Received the JET award...As a junior, she led the team with 40 runs scored and 24 stolen bases, while hitting .425...Helped lead D.H. Conley to three conference championships and a North Carolina 3A state championship in 2011...Was a catalyst for the Vikings during their state championship run, going five-for-eight with three runs scored and three RBIs in Conley’s two wins on day one of the tournament...Was also a member of the Carolina Wildcats club softball team coached by Jeff McPhail...The Wildcats won the 2010 Firecracker tournament, sending them to nationals.

Why Shannen chose Wingate: I thought the campus was beautiful and I love the size of the school.  Small enough to where it is easy to make new friends, big enough to where you see a new person every day.  I also love my team!
