2015: Skylar Ricard appeared in 22 matches during her junior season at Wingate, making one start…Collected a pair of kills on the season, adding 22 digs while averaging 0.76 digs per set…Also registered two aces and two assists…Had two kills in two swings against UNC Pembroke, adding a dig…Piled up seven digs against Lees-McRae…Had four digs against Brevard.

2014: Ricard played in 18 matches during her first season at Wingate, appearing in 22 sets…Collected 28 digs, a kill and an ace on the year…Had two digs and an assist in her debut against Belmont Abbey…Notched career-high eight digs at Coker…Registered four digs against Lenoir-Rhyne in the SAC title match.

Personal: Skylar Ricard earned All-Conference and All-State honors as a senior at Caldwell Academy...Earned Team MVP honors as a senior...Was named All-Area as a senior by the News & Record...Helped lead Caldwell to its first-ever win in the state playoffs...Played her club volleyball for Proehlific Power as a sophomore and junior, then played for Piedmont Volleyball Club as a senior...Played on the varsity basketball team from eighth grade until her junior season, earning all-conference honors her last two years and all-state accolades as a junior...Played on state championship soccer team in 2011 and was a member of the track & field team...Was a four-time Academic All-Conference selection...Was a member of the National Beta Club.

Why Suzanna chose Wingate: I wanted to play for a high level and successful volleyball team. However, coming into Wingate knowing I didn't have a spot on the team yet I was drawn by the positive atmosphere that make this small, beautiful campus so unique.
