2011: Earned All-SAC Freshman honors during her first year at Wingate...Ranked fourth on the team with 2.56 kills and 2.74 digs per set...Added 39 blocks and a team-best 35 aces...Had five double-doubles in 2011, while notching at least 12 kills seven times...Had 19 kills and 12 digs in Wingate’s 3-1 win over eventual regional champion Flagler...Posted 12 kills and 20 digs against Tusculum....Had 14 kills and 11 digs against LMU, hitting .393 on the match...Followed with 18 kills, 15 digs and four aces at Tusculum...Piled up 13 kills in the regional semfinal sweep over Catawba, while also collecting 13 kills against Flagler in the regional title contest.
Personal: Susie Murach was a standout for her Robinson High school team and her highly regarded Virginia Elite club team. Regarded as a powerful hitter and skilled all- around player, Murach had over 600 kills as a senior in leading her Robinson team to a Regional Championship. In both 2009 and 2010, she was named first team All-State. In both seasons, Murach was selected MVP of the District and the Region. She led her 2009 Virginia Elite team to an open division qualification at the USAV Junior Olympics. In 2010, she was a key player in her team’s finish at the AAU Junior Olympics.
