Wingate University Athletics

Katarina Zeiler is entering her first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Wingate University, where she will be working with the acrobatics and tumbling team as well as the men’s and women’s swimming programs. She completed her Master of Science in Athletic Training at High Point University in May of 2025

Throughout her clinical immersion experience, Katarina gained extensive experience in a wide variety of athletic and healthcare environments. She worked with collegiate field hockey, wrestling, and soccer at UNC Chapel Hill and High Point University, while also gaining valuable clinical exposure in outpatient and urgent care settings, including RehabWorks NASA and Orthopedic Specialists of North Carolina. Her background includes post-surgical rehabilitation, manual therapy, concussion management, and emergency care activation.

Katarina is certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM), and QPR Suicide Prevention. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and has been actively involved in both undergraduate and graduate student government and athletic training clubs.
