Cody Haffly completed 25-of-40 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns as Wingate earned a 31-29 South Atlantic Conference victory over Newberry College Saturday at Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field. On the season, Haffly has completed 175-of-295 passes for 1928 yards and 19 touchdowns.  He leads the SAC in pass efficiency (134.36) and total offense (274.29 yards per game). In league games, the Capital One Academic All-America® candidate has completed 96-of-148 attempts for 1027 yards and 10 scores. Haffly has only two interceptions in league play.
