Brian Yeung hit .364 on the week with a homer, two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored. Yeung’s final double of the week gave him 73 career doubles, making him the all-time SAC leader in career doubles.
Yeung had a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Wingate’s 17-11 nonconference win at Lenoir-Rhyne. He was two-for-five with an RBI and run scored in Friday night’s win over Carson-Newman. Yeung went four-for-five in Saturday’s first game against Carson-Newman game, with a double, RBI and run scored. He hit the record-breaking double in the final game of the series as the Bulldogs swept the three-game set against a Carson-Newman team that entered the weekend in first place. Wingate is now alone in first place in the league standings.
Yeung is hitting .344 on the year with three homers, 13 doubles, three homers, 21 RBI and 28 runs scored. Yeung ranks sixth on the all-time SAC charts in career RBI and total bases, seventh in homers and ninth in hits.
