Freshman Alex Craig (Lenoir, N.C.) was named the South Atlantic Conference Runner of the Week for last week's performance at the Bulldog Stampede. 

Craig had the best race of his young Bulldog career Saturday, claiming fifth place in the Bulldog Stampede with an 8K time of 28:31. Craig and the Bulldogs finished third in a nine-team field. "We are definitely proud of Alex for this honor," head coach Joe Soehnlen says. "He's been really diligent with his training…and it's starting to pay dividends."
 
"As Alex continues to learn how to race the 8K distance, I think we'll continue to see some great performances from him. We look forward to the leadership he will provide our strong freshman class."
