Wingate University junior goalkeeper Ashlyn Hardie (Summerfield, N.C.) was named the South Atlantic Conference women's soccer co-Player of the Week for her performance in two matches last week.
Hardie registered a pair of shutouts last week, helping the Bulldogs remain undefeated on the season. Wingate is 4-0-3 overall and 1-0-1 in the SAC. Hardie had three saves in the 2-0 victory against Lees-McRae Wednesday. She collected three saves in Sunday's double-overtime 0-0 tie against three-time defending league champion Lenoir-Rhyne. Hardie recorded a save in each of the overtime periods against the Bears.
In her 200 minutes between the pipes for the Bulldogs this season, Hardie has not allowed a goal. She has been the goalie for two of Wingate's three shutouts this season.
