Senior center Deion Turman (Pittsburgh, Pa.) averaged a double-double for the Bulldogs last week as Wingate improved to 4-1 overall, winning its fourth consecutive game by double figures. The 'Dogs are 3-0 in SAC play on the season.
Turman averaged 12.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game last week, adding three blocks. He opened the week with 11 points and five rebounds in Wingate's 73-59 win over Lenoir-Rhyne. Turman piled up 14 points and a career-high 19 rebounds in Saturday's 69-55 victory over Barton, adding three blocks.
Wingate is back in action Wednesday night, traveling to Anderson for an 8 p.m. start. The contest is a rematch of last season's SAC Tournament semifinal game, which Wingate won in overtime en route to its second consecutive SAC Tournament championship.
