SAC Player of the Year Alexis Burrell (Chesapeake, Va.) earned a spot on the All-SAC Tournament team. The senior went four-for-nine in Wingate's three games, hitting .444 with two doubles, a triple, an RBI and a run scored.
Burrell was two-for-three in the tournament opener with a triple, RBI and run scored. She added a double in each of the next two games for the Bulldogs.
The first team All-SAC shortstop hit .387 during her senior year with 15 homers to go along with eight doubles, three triples and 52 RBI, scoring 36 runs. Burrell is the all-time career homerun leader at Wingate.
