Wingate University junior swimmer Alex Divelbiss (Pueblo, Colo.) had a big weekend for the Bulldogs, leading ninth-ranked Wingate to a dominant victory in the Quad Meet against Lenoir-Rhyne, Catawba and Limestone.
Divelbiss picked up a victory in the 100 Fly with a time of 57.71, while also prevailing in the 400 IM at 4:38.60. She was also a key part in three relay victories for the Bulldogs. Divelbiss helped the 'Dogs prevail in the 200 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay. She added a third-place finish in the 100 Breaststroke.
Divelbiss and the ninth-ranked Bulldogs rolled to a dominant victory in Charlotte over the weekend. The Bulldogs piled up 750 points in the two-day event, winning eight events Friday and seven competitions Saturday. Lenoir-Rhyne finished second, 369 points behind Wingate. Catawba finished 500 points behind the Bulldogs, while Limestone was 527 points back.
