Wingate graduate student point guard Kerigan Farley (Hickory, N.C.) piled up 21 assists in two games last week, leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 start in league play.
Farley contributed 6.5 points per game to go along with 10.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest. He started his week with five points and 11 assists in the Newberry victory, helping the Bulldogs knock down 15 threes, their most in a game since the 2006-07 season. The 11 assists are the most by a Bulldog since Junior Harrington had 13 in the 2001-02 season. Farley backed that performance up with eight points and 10 assists in the Mars Hill victory, adding four steals in the 22-point victory.
Farley leads the conference with 5.4 assists per game, scoring 8.9 points per contest. He shoots 46 percent from the field and 87 percent at the free throw line while ranking second on the team with 13 steals.
