Wingate senior goalkeeper Joey Calandra recorded his 15th career shutout Saturday night, helping the Bulldogs defeat South Atlantic Conference leader Carson-Newman College 6-0 at the WU Soccer Complex. Calandra recorded two saves against the Eagles.

On Wednesday night, Calandra collected three saves and surrendered one goal as the home-standing Bulldogs topped Belmont Abbey College 3-1. The Bishop England product leads the SAC with his 0.66 Goals Against Average (GAA). He has allowed eight goals in 1093-plus minutes this season. Wingate is 10-2 overall and 5-1 in the SAC entering this week’s play.
