Wingate redshirt senior place kicker RP Lopez had his second conference game-winning kick of the season as Wingate defeated Lenoir-Rhyne University 27-24 Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs remain tied for first place in the SAC, improving to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the league.

Lopez hit a 25-yard field goal with 3:48 remaining to break a 24-24 tie. On Saturday, he had two field goals and three extra points. He also hit a game-winner against Carson-Newman earlier this year. On the 2010 season, Lopez has not missed a kick. He is eight-for-eight on field goals and 28-for-28 on extra points. He is the only SAC kicker who can make this claim. In 2009, he set the school record for extra points in a season with 40.
