Jack Vundum (Birmingham, England) posted a goal and an assist to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-1 overtime victory over Tusculum College in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field.
Wingate improves to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the SAC. Tusculum falls to 1-3-3 overall and 0-1 in the SAC. The Bulldogs continue their road swing Wednesday, visiting Catawba College for a 7 p.m. start. Tusculum travels down the mountain to Brevard College Tuesday for a 5 p.m. tilt.

Andy Goellner (Denver, Colo.) came off the line and Lima took advantage of the chance to give the Bulldogs a huge road triumph.
The Bulldogs tied the contest at the 64:19 plateau, as Vundum converted a penalty kick to knot things up at 1-1. The goal was Vundum’s first of the season. The TC Pioneers led 1-0 at intermission, thanks to an early goal by senior forward

Wingate pounded the Tusculum the goal, posting 30 shots to 11 for the Pioneers. The Bulldogs kept Goellner on his toes, as the Pioneer net minder recorded nine saves. Bulldog senior goalkeeper
Joey Calandra (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) earned the hard-fought victory with four saves. Both goalkeepers went the distance Saturday.
