NOTES

Exactly 11 years ago today, Wingate head coach Joe Reich picked up his first SAC victory against Newberry. On Oct. 13, 2001, the first-year head coach and his brand-new Bulldogs defeated the Wolves 20-14 at Irwin Belk Stadium and John R. Martin Field.

The Reich family had more than one victory to celebrate today. Joe and Dei Reich’s daughter Lindsey and her Sun Valley Middle School volleyball teammates won the Union County tournament Saturday.
