Wingate led 4-3 when Bounds tallied her second goal of the afternoon at the 22:01 mark. The Cobras put together their first of two 6-0 runs to take a 9-4 lead on a goal by freshman midfield
Mackenzie Baker (Orlando, Fla.) with 6:21 left in the opening frame. Baker had two goals each in both of the 6-0 flurries.

Kendall Sienon (Woodstock, Ga.) eight seconds later, cutting the Wingate deficit to 9-5. The Bulldogs would get no closer, as the Cobras answered with another 6-0 run to take a 15-5 lead at intermission.

Mandy Lopez (Winter Springs, Fla.) picked up the victory. In 60 minutes, she allowed 11 goals and recorded eight saves. She faced 19 Wingate shots. Bulldog freshman goalie
Jayda Lynch (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) also went the distance. She faced 31 shots, surrendering 19 goals and posting 12 saves.

Both teams return to SAC play this week. Wingate hosts Catawba Saturday at 12 noon. Coker entertains Queens (N.C.) Wednesday at 1 p.m.
