Wingate, N.C.----For the second straight day, the Wingate University men's lacrosse utilized a balanced scoring attack to claim a South Atlantic Conference triumph. On Sunday, eight different players scored a goal as the Bulldogs survived 10-9 over Lincoln Memorial University at the Irwin Belk Track Complex turf field.
Wingate remains undefeated in league play with three victories in three tries;Â the Bulldogs are 3-4 overall. The LMU Railsplitters are 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the SAC. The LMU-WU contest was originally scheduled for Harrogate, Tenn., but the two teams agreed to a venue change due to weather-related field concerns.

Ryan Vogrig (Vancouver, B.C.) and sophomore attack
Tanner Kotch (Butler, Pa.) both recorded four points with identical stat ledgers of one goal and three assists each. Bulldog senior midfield

Jeremy Sullivan (Crofton, Md.) scored two goals each for the hosts.
For the visiting Railsplitters, freshman attack
Dylan Neisler (Detroit, Mich.) had five goals. LMU freshman midfield
Adam Golia (Victoria, B.C.) had three assists, while junior midfield
Ronny Paulino (Copiague, N.Y.) tallied two goals.

Michael Lawson says. "Somehow, we found a way to hold on (for the victory)."

James Thatcher (East Patchogue, N.Y.) had another big day in the face-off X, as he won 18-of-23 face-offs. He led the Bulldogs in ground balls for the second day in a row with his nine pick-ups, helping Wingate win the GB battle 48-35. WU sophomore goalie
Jacob Ormerod (Lake Mary, Fla.) collected his second triumph in as many days, allowing nine goals while posting 12 saves.
