Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs out-shot visiting Coker College 28-1 Wednesday night, prevailing 1-0 in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action at Pride Park. Wingate improves to 6-3-1 overall and 4-2 in the SAC. The Cobras fall to 2-6 overall and 1-5 in the conference. The Bulldogs are now 6-0 at home this year, outscoring the opposition 19-1.
Wingate got on the board 6:26 into the first half. Freshman midfielder
Morgan Gray (Broomfield, Colo.) sent a cross to the left side of the box, where freshman
Taylor Krakower (Wayne, N.J.) was ready, finding the right corner of the net for her team-best fifth goal of the season.
The Bulldogs held a 15-0 advantage in shots in the first half, including an 8-0 edge in shots on goal.
Wingate had several chances to add to its lead in the second half. The closest call came when junior forward
Taylor Leyble (Jacksonville, N.C.) hit the post in the 58th minute.
The Bulldogs finished the night with 28 shots, including 12 shots on goal. Coker's lone shot of the night was on goal. Leyble had a match-high five shots, including two shots on goal. Gray, Krakower and
Gabby Fleischli (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) had two shots on goal apiece for the Bulldogs.

Alexis Jones (Midway Park, N.C.) had a save to preserve the Wingate shutout. Coker's
Emma Ferguson had seven saves in the first half.
Shelby Middleton collected four saves in the second half.
The Bulldogs are back in action Saturday, traveling to Brevard for a 2 p.m. start.
