Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University senior right-hander
Stacey Houser (Mooresville, N.C.) picked up two wins Saturday afternoon against visiting Erskine College, giving her 71 career victories and making her the school's all-time leader in wins. The Bulldogs walked off with a 5-4 victory in game one, while rolling to a 9-1 victory in game two to move to 2-2 on the year. The Flying Fleet fall to 2-2 overall.

Misty Doran (Century, Fla.) connected on the game-winning two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to erase what was a 4-3 deficit. Freshman
Naomi Sapp (Guyton, Ga.) was two-for-three with a homer and three RBI to lead the Wingate offense. Sophomore
Morgan Hendrix (Mocksville, N.C.) added a hit and a run scored for the Bulldogs.
Mia Blochviak drove in a pair of runs for Erskine, while
Chandler Crawford added a homer.
Baylee Browning drove in a run for the Flying Fleet, while
Lydia Trexler had a pair of hits.
Wingate got on the board in the second when sophomore pinch-runner
Meagan Martucci (Huntersville, N.C.) scored on a two-out RBI single from Sapp. The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead in the fourth when Sapp connected on her first career homer, a two-run shot to right.
Erskine answered with four runs in the sixth to take the lead. Crawford started the inning with a solo homer to cut the lead to two. An RBI single from Browning made it 3-2, while a two-run single from Blochviak gave the Flying Fleet a 4-3 advantage.
Wingate had the answer in the bottom of the seventh. Senior
Mellena Helms (Concord, N.C.) started the rally with a one-out walk, while Hendrix followed with a single. Senior
Emily Usiak (Matthews, N.C.) loaded the bases with an infield single, bringing Doran to the plate with one out. The junior lined the first pitch she saw into the left center field gap, giving the Bulldogs the walk-off victory.
Houser got the win in relief, tossing 1 2/3 innings without allowing a hit.
Kaylin White took the loss, falling to 0-1. She allowed two runs on three hits in three innings of work.
Game Two: Wingate 9, Erskine 1 (5 innings)Senior outfielder
Shannen Adams (Ayden, N.C.) was three-for-three with a homer, four RBI and two runs scored. Senior
Jordan Wilson (Gastonia, N.C.) went three-for-three with a triple, RBI and run scored, while Helms and Hendrix each went two-for-three with an RBI and run scored. Freshman
Kyra Johnson (Charlotte, N.C.) went two-for-two with two RBI and a run scored, while Sapp was two-for-three with two runs scored.
Jacquie Hill was one-for-two with an RBI to lead the Erskine attack.
Sydney Smith went two-for-two, while
Reagan Davis was one-for-two with a run scored.
The Flying Fleet jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Davis scored on Hill's RBI single.
Wingate answered with three runs in the bottom of the frame. Helms led off the inning with a triple, while Hendrix followed with an infield single, then stole second. Both scored on Johnson's two-run single, while Wilson's RBI triple made it 3-1.
The Bulldogs scored four runs in the third to add to the lead. Adams started the scoring with a two-run single, while Helms followed with an RBI single. Hendrix added an RBI single to give the 'Dogs a 7-1 advantage.
Wingate ended the game in the bottom of the fifth. Sapp reached on an error to start the inning, bringing Adams to the plate. The senior connected on the first homer of her career, a two-run shot to right to give the 'Dogs a 9-1 victory.
Houser got the win, moving to 2-0 on the year. She allowed one unearned run on four hits in five innings, striking out three.
Candice Fitch took the loss, falling to 1-1. She allowed seven runs on 13 hits in four innings of work.
Wingate is back in action Wednesday, hosting a doubleheader against Augusta at 1 p.m.
