Anderson, S.C.----The Anderson University Trojans handed the Wingate University Bulldogs their first loss of the season Friday night, prevailing 3-1 in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action. Anderson won by scores of 25-21, 25-16, 18-25 and 25-19 to improve to 25-3 overall and 15-2 in the SAC. Wingate, who entered the match as the lone unbeaten team in NCAA Division II volleyball, falls to 23-1 overall and 16-1 in league play.

"Road wins are really hard to come by in this conference and tonight, we came up short, which is of course disappointing while at the same time motivating. We have a noon match tomorrow, so we don't have much time to worry about this one. I am sure we will bounce back and be fine moving on."
