Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got double-doubles from
Danasia Witherspoon,
Caroline Averette and
Jordan Quick Tuesday night, while outscoring visiting Lander University 46-28 in the second half en route to an impressive 75-67 victory in NCAA Division II women's basketball action. The Bulldogs improve to 3-2 overall, while Lander falls to 2-2 on the season.

THIRD QUARTER
- Wingate scored 15 of the first 17 points in the quarter to take the lead
- Witherspoon had seven points in the spurt that lasted the first six minutes of the quarter
