Wingate, N.C.----The Belmont Abbey College women's lacrosse team posted the last three goals of the contest, rallying for a 14-13 NCAA Division II triumph over Wingate University Wednesday afternoon at Graham Gill Field. BAC senior attack

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
Wells scored Wingate's first four goals, staking the Bulldogs to a 4-1 lead with 15:20 to play. Wells and freshman midfielder
Nina Cifolilli (Kent Island, Md.) posted back-to-back goals to make the score 7-3 Wingate with 10:37 remaining in the first half. The Abbey concluded the half on a 4-1 run, cutting the deficit to 8-7 on a Luca goal with 57 seconds left in the opening frame.
Second Half
Luca's second goal of the second half gave the visitors their first lead at 10-9 with 18:32 remaining. Wingate responded with a 3-0 run to take a 12-10 lead on an unassisted goal by sophomore midfielder

Joanna King (Lancaster, Pa.) traded goals to make the score 13-11 Bulldogs.
Stromberg (3:43) and Luca (2:56) scored goals to tie the game at 13-13, setting the stage for Stromberg's game-winning tally. Both Stromberg goals were assisted by BAC sophomore attack
Allison Cline (Smithsburg, Md.). The two late goals were Stromberg's only scores of the afternoon, while Cline's two late helpers were the most for Belmont Abbey Wednesday.
TURNING POINTS
Belmont Abbey finished the game with a 3-0 run after putting together a 4-1 flurry to end the first half.
