Mars Hill, N.C.----For the sixth consecutive season, the No. 20 Wingate University Bulldogs have gone undefeated in regular season league play after cruising to a 9-0 victory at Mars Hill in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs have now won 69 straight conference matches and eight consecutive regular season SAC titles, improving to 18-3 overall and 10-0 in league play. Mars Hill falls to 2-16 overall and 0-10 in the SAC.

Verpelli finished off a perfect 10-0 season in league play at one singles with a 6-2, 6-3 victory, while De Andreis won 7-5, 7-5 at two singles. Lee rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win at three singles, with freshman
Arianna Ceccaroni (Bereldange, Luxembourg) cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at four singles. Garcia won 8-0 at five singles, while freshman
Marissa Marks (Germantown, Wisc.) finished off the day with an 8-0 victory at six singles.
Wingate is the number one seed in the SAC Tournament, hosting an opening round match Tuesday. The semifinals are Friday at 9 a.m. in Columbia, S.C., with the championship match slated for Saturday at 9 a.m. in South Carolina.
