Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University redshirt junior forward
Rashaard Pringle had 20 points and 13 rebounds in his Cuddy Arena debut Wednesday night, leading the Bulldogs to an impressive 80-77 victory over defending CIAA champion Virginia State in NCAA Division II basketball action. Wingate moves to 3-0 overall, while the Trojans fall to 2-1 on the season.
THOUGHTS FROM BRIAN GOOD
"I thought we really changed the tempo of the game in the second half and that was a big factor. Virginia State is really good in a half court game, we needed to make it more of a full court game and we did. Rashaard was great tonight. Not only did he have a good game, but he made big plays with the game on the line."
