Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs took advantage of seven Erskine College errors Thursday night, with the WU pitching staff piling up 15 strikeouts in a 10-3 victory in NCAA Division II baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate improves to 6-3 overall, while the Flying Fleet fall to 7-3 on the season.

- Bryant tied it in the bottom of the frame when he hit a towering shot to the fence in left center, then rounded the bases for an inside-the-park homer

- Guy drew a lead-off walk, stole second, went to third on an error, then scored on a wild pitch to make it 2-1
FOURTH INNING
- Erskine scored twice in the top of the frame to regain the lead

Corey Everett did the damage with a two-run shot to left center to make it 3-2
- Wingate answered with two in the bottom of the frame
- Bryant started the frame with a double, then scored on an error to tie it
- Little was hit by a pitch, stole second, then scored on Mellett's RBI single to put WU on top 4-3
FIFTH INNING
- Llewellyn led off the frame with a double
- Daniel's second homer of the season was a two-run shot off the foul pole in left to make it 6-3
- Little reached on an error, stole another base, then scored on Guy's RBI single to put WU on top by four
SEVENTH INNING
- Bryant ripped a lead-off double to right, then scored on a throwing error on the play to make it 8-3
EIGHTH INNING
- Three walks loaded the bases, while Bryant reached on an error to plate the final two runs of the night
WRAPUP
- Rodriguez got the win, moving to 1-0
- He struck out a career-high 10 in 5 1/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits
- McCullough notched the save with three strikeouts in three shutout innings
