Wingate, N.C.----Trailing by three points in the final seconds of regulation Wednesday night, the ninth-ranked Queens University Royals got a desperation triple from
Van Turner with one second left to send the game to overtime, eventually prevailing 99-91 in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action over Wingate University in Cuddy Arena. The Royals improve to 26-3 overall and 18-1 in the SAC, while the 'Dogs fall to 16-11 overall and 12-7 in league play.

- Cottingham buried a triple to cap the flurry and put Wingate on top 50-49
