Bulldogs ride balanced attack to 16-9 victory at North Greenville

Greenville, S.C.----Wingate University had three different Bulldogs collect hat tricks in a 16-9 road victory at North Greenville University in NCAA Division II women's lacrosse action Thursday afternoon. Wingate improves to 2-2 overall, while the Crusaders fall to 2-5 on the season.

FIRST HALF

- Wingate got out to an early 3-0 lead, getting a Ketron goal, and two Roux goals
- North Greenville got its first goal from  Rachel Kellogg at the 22:48 mark
- WU would get on the board again with Wells finding the back of the net with 18:30 remaining in the half
- The Crusaders got two more goals from Hannah Hawkins and Brenis Napoli making it a two-goal difference
- The 'Dogs would end the half on a 4-0 run spanning the final 13 minutes
- Kamer scored three straight goals to end the half, putting the 'Dogs on top 9-3

SECOND HALF

- Cifolilli scored in the opening minute of the second half to stretch the lead to six
- Becca Ruiz scored with 25:27 to go, pushing the lead to eight
- Wingate registered another 3-0 run with goals from Cifolilli, Ketron, and Wells
- Kellogg notched her third goal of the day for NGU to make it 14-5
- The Wingate lead was extend to 10 with Ashley Stewart finding the back of the net with 14 minutes to go
- North Greenville went on a 3-0 run, getting a Maegan Easler goal and a pair of Kellogg goals
- Ketron capped the scoring in the frame for the 'Dogs with 1:53 to go
- The final Crusader goal came from Jillian Chiesa

Wingate will host Florida Southern March 8 at 3 p.m.
