McCann Mellett went four-for-four with Thursday evening, but the Valdosta State University Blazers held on for a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs in NCAA Division II baseball action. Valdosta State improves to 5-0 overall, while Wingate falls to 4-1 on the season.
