#21 Wingate drops a pair of games to top-five teams Sunday

Dahlonega, Ga.----The 21st-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs saw their 16-game winning streak come to an end Sunday afternoon, falling 7-0 against fourth-ranked North Georgia and 3-0 against #2 West Florida in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate falls to 16-4 overall.

- The Nighthawks had four of the five extra-base hits including two homers
- Wingate left seven on base; North Georgia stranded six

- Weidner falls to 9-2, allowing seven runs on nine hits while striking out five and walking three

- She allowed three hits in four innings, striking out two
- Reep allowed two earned runs in seven innings, striking out 11 and walking three to fall to 9-3
