VIDEO | Emma Swenson's walk-off homer

Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University junior outfielder Emma Swenson hit a pair of homers including the dramatic walk-off blast in game one, driving in five runs to lead the Bulldogs to a doubleheader sweep over Francis Marion University in NCAA Division II softball action. Wingate pushes its winning streak to 16, improving to 16-2 on the season while the Patriots fall to 12-6 overall. It is the longest winning streak for the Bulldogs since the 2009 season.

GAME ONE | Wingate 4, Francis Marion 3

- Reep led off the frame with a towering solo shot down the left field line to get WU within one
- Floyd kept things alive with a two-out double down the left field line
- Swenson blasted the first pitch of her at-bat over the fence in left to give the 'Dogs the dramatic 4-3 victory

WRAPUP

- Reep got the win, moving to 7-1 on the year
- She did not allow an earned run in three innings, striking out one while allowing three hits
- Weidner allowed two runs in four innings of work, striking out three and walking two
- Katelyn Ellard took the loss, allowing four runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings, striking out five and walking one

- Harney's sacrifice fly plated Johnson to give Francis Marion a 6-5 advantage
- Coyne led off the bottom of the frame with a solo blast to left, her third of the year to tie it at six
- An RBI single from Floyd gave the 'Dogs a 7-6 lead
- Swenson followed with her second homer of the day and fourth of the year, a two-run shot to make it 9-6

SIXTH INNING

- Floyd reached on a two-out single, then scored on a wild pitch to make it 10-6

WRAPUP

- Weidner got the win, moving to 9-1 on the year
- She allowed two runs on two hits in four innings, striking out four and walking three
- Reep allowed three earned runs in three innings, striking out two and walking two
- Ellard took the loss to fall to 7-2, allowing four runs on four hits in 2 2/3 innings
