Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University got a pair of shutouts in the circle from
Aubrey Reep and
Rachel Weidner Saturday afternoon, sweeping a doubleheader against Mars Hill University in South Atlantic Conference softball action. Wingate won the opener 2-0, while rolling to a 12-0 victory in five innings in game two to improve to 22-8 overall and 5-1 in the SAC. The Lions fall to 17-8 overall and 2-2 in league play. The 'Dogs are a perfect 14-0 at home this season.
