Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored two runs apiece in five of the first six innings Tuesday night, prevailing 10-6 over visiting UNC Pembroke in NCAA Division II baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. The 'Dogs have won eight straight and 12 of their last 13, improving to 23-9 overall while the Braves fall to 14-16 on the season.

- A Zach Ghelfi RBI single tied the game at two in the top of the second
- Forry led off the bottom of the frame with a single, stole a base, then scored on Daniel's RBI single
- Guy's double move Daniel to third; Little's RBI single put Wingate on top 4-2

- RBI singles from Elijah Helton and River Ryan in the top of the third tied it at four

FOURTH INNING

- Clark led off the frame with a single, then moved to third on a double from Daniel
- Mellett's RBI single put WU back on top, while an error on the play allowed another run to score, making it 6-4

FIFTH INNING

- Bobby Dixon led off the frame with a double, then scored on Helton's RBI double to get UNCP within one
- A sacrifice fly from Jarratt Mobley tied it at six
- Forry gave Wingate a 7-6 lead with a solo bomb in the bottom of the frame, his seventh of the year
- Clark followed with a double, then scored on a Daniel RBI single to give WU a two-run lead

SIXTH INNING

- Mellett ripped an RBI double to right, plating Little from first to make it 9-6
- Llewellyn's RBI single drove home Mellett to put the Bulldogs on top by four

WRAPUP

- Wildman got the win, moving to 4-1 on the year
- The senior allowed three hits in four shutout innings, striking out three without walking a batter
- McCullough struck out one in a scoreless ninth
- Davis Hurd took the loss, falling to 0-4
- He allowed four runs on seven hits in 3 1/3 innings, striking out two
