Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs connected on three homers Friday night, but the 16th-ranked Newberry College Wolves piled up 14 hits including seven doubles, prevailing 8-5 in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. The Wolves win their 10th straight, improving to 29-7 overall and 12-1 in the SAC. The 'Dogs see their eight-game winning streak come to an end, falling to 23-10 overall and 9-4 in league play.
