Wingate, N.C.----The 19th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs kept their perfect season intact Tuesday afternoon, prevailing 5-2 over the visiting Catawba College Indians in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. Wingate improves to 13-0 on the season and 6-0 in league play, while the Indians fall to 10-5 overall and 2-3 in the SAC. The 'Dogs have now won 75 consecutive league matches.

DOUBLES

- The nation's 18th-ranked doubles team of Michela Verpelli and Alisa Rudenko won 6-2 at one doubles
- The 29th-ranked team of Claudia De Andreis and Chyi Lee prevailed 6-3 at two doubles
- Camilla Ciaccia teamed with Sydney Homan for a 6-1 victory at three doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Verpelli, ranked 14th in the nation, picked up a 6-4, 6-4 victory at one singles
- Lee cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at number four singles
- Ciaccia won 6-1, 6-0 at five singles
- Arianna Ceccaroni rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at six singles
