Bulldogs fall 8-3 to Crusaders Tuesday night

Wingate, N.C.----The Belmont Abbey College Crusaders avenged a home loss against the Bulldogs in February, prevailing 8-3 at Wingate University Tuesday night in NCAA Division II baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Belmont Abbey moves to 9-10 on the season, while the 'Dogs fall to 11-8 overall.

- A Jason White RBI single and a wild pitch plated two more runs, making it 5-1
- Shneider led off the bottom of the frame with a single, then moved to third on Dula's double
- Motsinger's RBI single plated Schneider, while Little's sacrifice fly drove home Dula to make it 5-3

NINTH INNING

- An error and hit batsman put two on for Ben Sneider, who made it 6-3 with an RBI single
- A wild pitch and passed ball allowed two more runs to score, putting BAC on top by five

WRAPUP

- Sam Luchansky got the win, moving to 3-1 on the year
- He allowed two runs on five hits in five innings, striking out 10 and walking one
- David Nash took the loss, falling to 1-2, allowing two runs on three hits in three innings, striking out four
