Wingate, N.C.----The 15th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs closed out the regular season in style Saturday evening, rolling to a 6-0 victory over Carson-Newman University in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. Wingate improves to 17-1 overall and 9-1 in the SAC, while the Eagles fall to 9-9 overall and 5-5 in league play.
SINGLES PLAY
- With inclement weather in the area all day, the teams only played singles on Saturday
- The match started at 4 p.m., then was delayed for nearly two hours due to rain

Michela Verpelli prevailed 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 at one singles
