Rachel Weidner struck out a career-high 13 Monday afternoon in game one of a South Atlantic Conference softball doubleheader, leading the Bulldogs to a 4-1 victory over Carson-Newman University. The Eagles responded by taking game two 10-3. Wingate moves to 30-16 overall and 9-9 in the SAC, while Carson-Newman goes to 23-8 overall and 8-8 in league play.
