Hickory, N.C.----The Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears had no answer for the Wingate offense Tuesday afternoon, as the Bulldogs scored 23 runs in a pair of dominant victories in South Atlantic Conference softball action. Wingate won the opener 8-3, while rolling to a 15-4 victory in game two to improve to 32-16 overall and 11-9 in the SAC. The Bears fall to 25-17 overall and 8-9 in league play. Wingate sweeps its second straight doubleheader at Lenoir-Rhyne.

- A Talon LaClair sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame tied it at two

FOURTH INNING

- Loney led off the top of the fourth with a double
- She scored on Hogan's RBI double to put the 'Dogs back on top

SIXTH INNING

- Taylor Beard's RBI single in the bottom of the sixth made it 3-3

SEVENTH INNING

- The Bulldogs scored five times in the bottom of the frame to take an 8-3 advantage
- Hogan started the inning with a solo blast to center to put Wingate on top for good
- Two walks and an error loaded the bases for Reep
- She connected on a grand slam to left to give the Bulldogs a five-run cushion

WRAPUP

- Weidner got the win, moving to 16-7
- She allowed three runs on seven hits in seven innings, striking out six and walking two
- Brandi Parks took the loss, falling to 17-9
- She allowed eight runs on eight hits in seven innings, striking out three and walking three

- Floyd's eighth homer of the year made it 9-3

- Hogan and Cashwell started the frame with back-to-back singles
- Swenson plated both of them with a two-run triple to right center, making it 11-4
- Coyne's sacrifice fly made it an eight-run game
- Three straight walks loaded the bases for Wells, who made it 14-4 with an RBI single
- Hogan capped the scoring on the day with an RBI single, putting the 'Dogs on top by 11
