Aiken, S.C.----In a match that started Sunday morning and wrapped up Monday morning, the fifth-ranked USC Aiken Pacers defeated the sixth-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs in the NCAA Division II men's tennis Southeast Regional Semifinals. The Pacers improve to 18-3 overall, advancing to the NCAA Round of 16. The Bulldogs end their season at 20-5 overall.
DOUBLES
- The nation's second-ranked doubles team of
Daniel Belsito and
Josep Canyadell won 6-3 over the sixth-ranked team in the nation
- USCA picked up a 6-4 win at two doubles and prevailed 7-5 at three doubles to pick up the point
- The Pacers took a 1-0 lead into singles play
- With singles play just underway Sunday morning, the rain began, causing the matches to be postponed until Monday

Enrico Giacomini rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at number six singles to tie the match at one
- Belsito, ranked 24th in the nation, prevailed 6-0, 6-4 at number one singles to put WU on top 2-1

- A 6-4, 6-4 victory at four singles put USC Aiken on top 3-2
