Hartsville, S.C.----The Coker University Cobras outscored visiting Wingate University 20-6 in the first quarter Wednesday night en route to a 66-53 victory in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action inside the Deloach Center. The Cobras improve to 7-10 overall and 4-9 in league action, while the Bulldogs falls to 12-8 overall and 6-7 in the SAC.

- Douglas got the 'Dogs on the board first in the second frame
- Wingate cut the lead to 13 with a Jeter layup at the midway point
- With 4:18 to go an Amanda Cherry three made it 30-14
- The Bulldogs would get a Ingram bucket and a Douglas three to get within 11
- CU capped the frame with a pair of Emily Davis free throws to go into halftime leading 33-19
THIRD QUARTER
- Wingate got buckets from
Destiny Coleman and Jeter to start the half
- With 6:29 on the clock a pair of Davis free throws pushed the Cobras lead to 19
- WU got two quick buckets from Ingram and
Daphney Saylor to cut into the lead
- Hope Richardson converted a three-point play to make it 45-29 with 3:31 to go
- At the 1:29 mark a Clark three made it a 15-point game
- CU got a Davis three with just under a minute to go
- The quarter was capped with a Jeter three point play in the final second to make it 51-35
FOURTH QUARTER
- A Janell Horton jumper gave Coker a 55-34 lead at the 7:49 mark
- Clark made a pair of free throws with six minutes remaining to cut the lead to 14
- With just under four minutes to play a Houser layup gave the Cobras their largest lead of the game at 63-43
- At the 2:22 mark a Clark three had the Bulldogs trailing by 15
- With one minute left on the clock a Horton three put CU up 66-48
- WU capped the scoring with a pair of Douglas free throws with 20 seconds remaining
