Wingate, N.C.----The visiting UVA Wise Crusaders shot 53 percent from the field en route to a 92-82 victory at Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena Wednesday night. The Cavs improve to 2-1 overall and 2-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in league play.

SECOND QUARTER
- A Nia Vanzant layup and Ross three-point play put the Cavaliers on top 31-22 at the 7:45 mark

- UVA Wise answered with a 10-0 run, taking a 41-26 lead on a Mackenzie King three at the 2:06 mark
- Wingate score the final seven points of the half, getting a Troutman three and two free throws to make it 41-33
THIRD QUARTER
- Johnson's free throws in the opening minute pushed the UVA Wise lead back to 10
- The 'Dogs scored 10 of the next 12, with layups from Hatfield and
