‘Dogs push winning streak to six with doubleheader sweep over Bobcats

Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored visiting Lees-McRae College 16-2 Saturday afternoon, sweeping an NCAA Division II softball doubleheader. Wingate won the opener 5-2, while rolling to an 11-0 five-inning victory in game two to move to 6-6 overall. The Bobcats fall to 2-2 on the season.

- Ikard's solo shot in the seventh made the final margin 5-2

- Reep got the win, moving to 3-2
- She allowed two runs on eight hits in seven innings, striking out nine and walking six
- Charlsy Traylor took the loss, falling to 1-1, allowing five runs on 11 hits in six innings
