UVA Wise leads wire-to-wire in 72-58 SAC victory over visiting Wingate

Wise, Va.----UVA Wise led from start to finish Saturday, claiming a 72-58 South Atlantic Conference women's basketball victory over Wingate University Saturday afternoon in the Prior Convocation Center. Bulldog junior center Teliyah Jeter had a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH ANN HANCOCK

"UVA Wise is a very scrappy team who is much better than its record. They shot the ball incredibly well in the first half. They have several players who can score the ball, which makes it hard to guard them. Playing on the road is a tough task…it is difficult to explain until young players have experienced it. We will look to bounce back on Wednesday."
