‘Dogs take second straight SAC road series with doubleheader sweep at Coker

Hartsville, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs rolled to a pair of victories Saturday afternoon, claiming their second conference road series in as many weekends by prevailing 8-3 and 8-4 at Coker University in South Atlantic Conference baseball action. Wingate improves to 12-5 overall and 4-2 in the SAC, while the Cobras fall to 8-11 overall and 2-4 in league play.

"We got a good start from Brody in game one and David settled in after a couple long innings early to help limit them offensively. I thought our offense was really good today and we were able to play with leads. We played well as a team to pick up a couple road wins."

- Dula drew a lead-off walk, then scored on McKay's two-run shot to left

- Clark led off the frame with his first homer of the year, a solo shot to make it 8-1

WRAPUP

- McCullough got the win, moving to 2-3 on the year
- He allowed a run on four hits in six innings, striking out four and walking two
- Josh Karklin struck out three in an inning of work
- Tanner Wofford took the loss, allowing seven runs on five hits in 2 2/3 innings, striking out one and walking five
