Wingate, N.C.----The Catawba College Indians shot 56 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range Wednesday night, hanging on for a 95-91 victory at Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Catawba improves to 15-6 overall and 10-5 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 10-11 overall and 6-9 in league play.

FIRST HALF
- A Malik Constantine layup gave Catawba a 17-7 lead six minutes in
- Wingate scored the next 10, getting threes from Cottingham and Dawkins to tie it at 17
- A Marcell Haskett three-point play gave the Indians a six-point edge with 9:04 left
- Buckets from Taylor and Vontrez Roberts got the 'Dogs within one with seven minutes left
- Devin Cooper pushed the lead back to nine with a bucket at the 4:51 mark
- Haskett's triple with 1:13 left gave Catawba a 45-33 advantage
- Dawkins hit a three in the final minute to get the 'Dogs within nine at halftime
SECOND HALF
- The Indians took a 65-51 advantage on a Haskett three with 14:14 to go
- Four Johnson free throws got the 'Dogs back within 10 with 11:49 left
- Taylor's dunk made it an eight-point game at the midway point
- A Johnson triple and Shaman Alston layup got the 'Dogs within six at 72-66 with 8:04 to go
- Haskett pushed the lead to eight with a bucket, but a Cottingham layup made it 74-69
- Francis Sio knocked down a three to get the 'Dogs within four with 3:34 left
- Daquan Lilly buried a triple 30 seconds later to put Catawba on top 81-74
- Haskett's three pushed the advantage to 10 with 1:54 to go
- Back-to-back Cottingham buckets got WU within five with 1:13 left
- Lilly's dunk pushed the lead back to eight, but a Dawkins triple made it 91-87 with 15 seconds left
- Catawba went four-for-four at the line down the stretch to ice it
