Jeter’s Triple-Double not enough as Bulldogs fall to Catawba

Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University junior Teliyah Jeter registered the first triple-double of the Ann Hancock era Wednesday night, but the visiting Catawba College Indians held the Bulldogs to a season-low 48 points en route to a 59-48 victory in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. THOUGHTS FROM COACH HANCOCK

"Losing is never the outcome you want, but I was extremely proud of the way our team fought. We got down by a considerable amount and cut it to eight. And we had opportunities to cut it to less than eight. I think that it shows that we have made improvements since we played them on January 2. I was pleased with our effort, and I think even though we lost we might be able to get a bit of confidence from playing with one of the top teams in the league."
