Mac Callari went 8 1/3 innings without allowing an earned run Friday night, while three different Bulldogs homered in a 5-2 victory over visiting Anderson University in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate moves to 13-5 overall and 5-2 in the SAC, while the Trojans fall to 10-9 overall and 3-4 in league play.

- Callari got the win to move to 3-2 on the year
- He struck out a career-high 10 in a career-high 8 1/3 innings, throwing 123 pitches while allowing two unearned runs
- He did not allow a base runner until a leadoff double in the top of the fourth
- Callari did not allow another hit until a two-out single in the top of the seventh
- Lee retired the final two hitters to earn his second save of the year
- Lucas Smith took the loss, falling to 4-1
- He allowed five runs on six hits in five innings, striking out seven without walking a batter
- Smith entered the game 4-0 with a 1.50 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 36 inning, earning SAC Pitcher of the Week honors twice this year
- He had allowed just two homers through his first six appearances this season
