‘Dogs walk off in game one; roll in game two to finish off weekend sweep

Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University senior infielder McCann Mellett piled up six hits and six RBI Saturday afternoon, including the walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning of game one as the Bulldogs swept a doubleheader against visiting Anderson University in South Atlantic Conference baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate improves to 15-5 overall and 7-2 in the SAC, while the Trojans fall to 10-11 overall and 3-6 in league play.
